Is it worth paying extra for a laptop with Centrino? Also is Centrino just wireless internet access or does it have any other features? All the Centrino processor speeds seem to be alot slower too. Why is that?

They are slower to save power, and all centrino means is intel have approved all the devices in the laptop to be wireless networking compatable. To put it simply its MARKETING.
