Looks really good. I thought about doing it to my corsa but a pain to maintain. you cant wash it properly as it puts a shine to it and if it gets chipped to have to get it all done again.
My mate spoke to someone who had a MK4 Golf with a matt black finish @ max live last year and he said that he cant drive the car all the time now as it costs to much money to have it sprayed up again - Hence now the car is a demo car.

It looks phat and mean but I wouldnt want to travel the 40 miles I have to do every day to work and back with my car! What would happen if they put a proper coating of laquer on it? Would it fook up the finish?

I believe if you put a layer of laquer on it then it would give the paint work a shine which you dont want from a matt finish.

Certianly would be mate . Thats obviously why the people that get it done like this suffer badly from stone chips.
There are other ways of doing it which would make the car matt with lacquer . But im not gonna say why

its interesting stuff and something id say most all bodyshops know about.
Its not the smae finish as matt as it aint rough and loks a bit blacker than matt which usually looks a bit grey

believe it or not its not actually a matt lacquer. Its an aditive that gfoes into paint or lacquer... Its called "mattening agent". Everybody shop uses is when repairing cars with paint damage to trims. Ie... corsa roof rails?...Why is that a matt finish and survives polish, washing, burd cack etc etc
