Athlon "Mobile" XP2800-M Barton 266FSB
Not bothering with a XP3200 Barton, so getting the mobile which is originally intended for use in laptops
Better buy at the end of the day than the 3200+

yup only 266fsb, but its unlocked as its a mobile processor for laptops, so I can drop the FSB to 200 & increase the multiplier to match the 3200+XP...
Plus people have got these upto 2.65GHz (the 3200+XP runs only at 2.2GHz!)

Over-priced & over-rated IMO!
Plus the P4's are cnuts to overclock!

looking at getting the chip upto 2.65ghz (standard 2800+ is about 1.9GHz... 3200+ runs at 2.2GHz
got the desin for the water-block made up so willk be getting that CNC'd soon as I get hold of the copper blocks!
Beuty of the Mobile athlon chips, there the same core as the regular athlon, but its generally far better quality & also runs at lowe core-voltages so less heat! Plus with it not being clock-locked & multiplier-locked like regular athlons, overclocking it to silly speeds is fairly easy!

does it lock up under load at times when running 2 cpu's??
check in the BIOS for the VTT core voltage, it should be steady around 1.5v, if it varies + - more than 0.2v, then you will need the fix
VTT Fix - http://www.bp6.com/board/kb.php?mode=article&k=12
and this is the P3 mod im gona try once I demote the BP6 from being the proxy server

I've been trying to work how why it kept hanging, and thought it was something to do with the disk controller because everytime I would shift a large amount of data, after a random amount of time after the transfer/whatever the machine would lock up
