to have on break on a 7 hour shift.
She just started a hairdressers apprenticeship and her boss sounds like a cock.
She had barely 5 mins and im sure your ALLOWED 15mins every 3-4 hours

i know a nice fit lass - who works 9 - 6 and gets 30 mins for dinner - thats all
again a hairdressers
PLUS she aint allowed to leave premises for her dinner  like being back at school

she works from 7.30am till 2.30pm and for the 2nd shift in the row she had barely 5mins and only £20 pay packet.
She had that form to send off (The one when u start a new job, to register you to pay tax/national insurance whatever it is) so she might be on the minimum wage. But cause shes under 18 is there a minimum wage or can her boss pay her anything?

think there is a mim pay for 16/17 year olds - and a higher min pay for 18 year olds - unless its all changed now

if your 16 or under the law says you must have a hour and a half in total breaks...if over 16 then you have to have at least a hour

apprentise wage can be whatever the company owner decides , there aint a minimum wage when ur trainin , i am still in ma electrical apprentership and the wage is crap way lower than minimum wage . but least i aint waistin away stacking shelves

Yeah companies can be cnts!! They see people like that as child labour basically. The minimum wage for youth workers 18-21 is £3.80 an hour. if your in an apprentichip its different, you have to be 18 and worked a year before you qualify for min wage. Thats what my co-ordinater that sorts my one out said n e way. Hes probably pocketing wages im meant to get! I work the same, 8-12.30 without a break then 1.30-5 without a break. Meant to get 15mins in the morning and 15 in the afternoon, but the bloke i work with is a workaholic. it pisses me off but i know im getting more experience so in the long run its probably better.

iv worked many 11 hour shifts without a break. did 9-6 today and didnt get a break

im 16 on £4.18 an hour and i work from 6 till 2 and i get 50 minutes break
