I'm thinking about changing my engine for a lower mileage one.
Can you take the engine out without the box, from above oviously. The haynes says you have to take the lot out but maybe someones done it. Can you do it? If so, how?

I've never had any trouble splitting the two. You also need to take off the front bottom pulley for clearance. Bout an hours work total.
