ive been working on a piece of work and ive just opened a copy of it adn the work ive been doing for the last 3 hours hasnt saved! i have saved on more than one occassion!
please help

doesn't word write a .tmp or summat like that to ur harddrive for recovery purposes? u may have opened that by mistake

isn't it a hidden file tho?

tiz hidden yea, but i got the "hidden files" showing on my computer for when i log in lol so thats y they're there, but he said he's opened a copy of it so figured it may be that

a copy is proably a copy of an older version of the file, i think he has saved the "more up to date" one elsewhere
try searching for the doc
or have they disabled search at your uni

search everywhere where u can save .doc files and open them all, u may of saved it elsewhere
also click file in word and it should have the file in the last opened/saved .doc's is it there?

for some reason it wont show the files in the last opened bit
do you recon a restart would do anything?

click on open in word and search thru all the folders, may be under a different name or saved in a different place than u originally saved it

bring up task manager use it to close word
then open it and see if it recvers any files/work

task manager may be disabled too tho if he's on uni network

definately using word.
there si a prob with these pcs i think because it says ur diretory is full when its not, but if u save it to the desktop and then drop it into the folder its ok :S
