its my digi cam - to connect cam to pc via usb!
but there is a black bit in the middle of the weird..... i think its there to make the wired shorter! but seem to do fuck all!

Its a magnet, supposed to stop "noise" in the cable ie. electrical interferance etc.

Open the box up !!

I once had a "Spitfire" HT lead sent to me to try out - supposedly improves the spark etc etc..

There was a little box on that, so I took an axe to it to find out what was inside.

Just a washer and a self tapping screw needless to say Spitfire didn't get their lead back

There should be a ring of soft iron inside that the cable goes through. Its to block out interference from mobiles and radios and stuff. (They're on playstation controllers and stuff as well)
