and when i turn the volume all the way down, y does it do this,
sum1 sed it was summat to do with the earth??:boggle

yeah it almost definately will be. Make sure your earth has a clean contact. Mine used to do that, someone told me it was my earth and i said it was fine, but after taking the connection off, rubbing it down with wire wool and reattatching it, the problem went away.

rite ive tided up the connection with the earth to the car and i still get the thump, i shortened the earth cable to about 30cm and still no luck, wot else cud it b??

My sub used to do this, it turned out that the amp was on the way out.

i ave da same problem. i tried movin the earth and so on, in the end i put the headunit in a mates car and the same happened 2 him, result- bad headunit!
