When I wire up my neons I can figure it all out until I get to the transformer where do the live and ground wires go, do they go off the switch?

Ground wire goes to a clean metal point on the car chassis and the live goes to the switch, then from the switch to the live on the battery.

make sure the live cable to the switch is fused.
