me and my dad service our cars, much cheaper

but if you do want FSH, thats the kinda price you pay i'm afraid.

sure you could get it cheaper, try a few places

you only needs FSH for selling, but if you keep all your receipts when you service it, you can prove thats its been well maintained

yeah do it yourself, keep all recipts in a folder or book and date it all so when u do go to sell it u can say it has been maintained to a high standard and that you dont trust garrages anyways that way it looks like the car has been maintained well

Right the only thing im thinking is that..... if i service it my self i will have to pay £85 to extend my breakdown cover but if dixons service it then i get another year breakdown cover for free.....

so that meens the service is only really £40.

Does that make sence??

yea, makes SENSE, but i thought you could get breakdown cover for a lot cheaper than that? if thats your situation, you might as well, new oil (40/10), filters and plugs will prob come to more than £40 anyway

When I bought mine in October, the dealer told me that as long as the 1st and 2nd services are done by main dealer, you get 2nd and 3rd year warranty and AA cover at no cost.

Mine 1st service was £110 and a few pence at my local garage and rang around to see who could do it cheapest. Bet then when the produced the invoive it was even cheaper than they said they could do it for on the phone Think they said about £125-35 something like that on the phone.

you don;t have to get the servicing done at a dealer to keep your warrenty all you need to do is get everything in the schedual done at a garage thats all.

normal services are around £100 in most garages
