my car has just broken down.

i was driving along and the revs stayed on quite high and the engine management light came on. it also started to over heat.

think it might be something to do with the choke but am not sure.

any suggestions???

its a 1.0l 12v btw

if engine management light came on then do the paper clip test to check fault code, give me 2 mins and ill get a link on how to do it

Jst got the AA to come and have a look and they said that it was the stepper motor he couldnt fix it completly but made it so i can drive it to the garage tomorrow to get it fixed.
