Had a dilemma between MR2 and 106 GTi and chose the 106 because i wanted something a bit newer Plus its quicker

Sweet Punto GT for sale in classifieds at the mo, but apparently they dont go round corners too well.

the thing with MR2's is the mid engine thing, a lot of people dont want to touch them eg when your alternator goes (a lot of em do) your looking at high labour costs. The thing with 106's is theyre french (but this is justmy opinion) and they are so small I think theyre a bit girl but can be made to look real nice and puntos are just borin. They are all very different cars, I would say get an MR2 if you dont worry about any potentail probs, they really keep theyre money and are good for high miles, plus RWD fun ....... happy shopping

My dad snapped this 'Fake Ferrari' parked up. Why oh why oh why......

Must have had a fortune spent on it, probably enough to buy a classic 'Real Ferrari'.

i think the mr2 above looks fantastic, its oblivious its not a ferrari but it looks good!! As for the why o why comments the same could be said for people that put GSi kits on 1.2s....but the punto GT gets my vote, cheaper to run, mod and insure than the mr2 and built better, quicker and more respectful than a 106

That MR2 Ferrari looks very nice. You can see why people do it, I mean, how many people are going to be able to afford a genuine one, so this is the next best thing. Although you dont get the sound....

sorry dude but i gotta disagree with you there. they seem fudge all like a ferrari in real life. as soon as your next to one you can just tell they aint real. they just dont have the presence of a ferrari and the way they sit on the road just dont look right

yesh i hear what you are saying, i dont think people that fit those kits go out trying to convince people they are driving actual ferraris but again like i said people fit GSi kits on 1.2s and they seem "fudge all" like an actual GSi

suppose so. its not the actual fitting of the kit that makes me laugh cos they do like nice. its the fact that they badge it up with ferrari badges and try and pass it off for something its not. just like 1.2 GSi corsas and 1.6 escort cosworths
