More in £ than it's worth...
Throttle bodies much more sound choice,
if not 2.0s or 2.0Ts

it dont matter what the magazines say. they only get 'maybe articles'. guys at work went on the new Astra H technical course and they were told by Vauxhall themselves that the corsa is finishing in late 2005,the last model will be a Corsa VXR 1.8 tuned to 150bhp. the 1.6 turbo in the Tigra is the z16NEP. we have been given insights into the engine and it is high pressure turbo and a similar platform from the x16xe. im sorry but the magazines are money makers and they print what people wanna read. personally i believe what vauxhall have told their retailers.

bubblevaux you are so full of shit. Z16NEP, are you in a friggin day dream? if anything, its designation would be Z16XET, the T stands for turbo. What does your P stand for? besides, auto express usually know what they are talking about over a spotty 19 year old who works for vauxhall.

also, Z16NEP would mean that the car was an 8v, i very much doubt this.

if what u say is true then how come the new astra h has a z20lel angine and a z20rer engine. and how come the 2.0t engine in the vectra c is called the z20nep. z16= z,engine type based on emissions. 16-capacity. nep is the coding used to describe the compression ratio and in this case the designation of the turbo, nep referring to a high pressure turbo.
so please re-read the above article. it says 'officially a concept', therefore wont be in showrooms for at least another 2 years-yet the turbo engine is goin in the current corsa which ends next year???hmm.
id also like to draw your attention to the phrase 'fiat is said to be developing'. this means they might be-not they are going to. please, get some grammar lessons and understand wordings of sentences etc. also id like to point out that in late 1999 auto express also stated that vauxhall were launching a 1.8 16v in the corsa b as a farewell to the model. have u seen any standard 1.8 corsa b's?? didnt think so.
but hey-you believe auto express. ill believe what were told by people at griffin house in luton-who know what there on about
see u soon in your 1.6 turbo fiat sourced runabout!

and one more thing. z16xet. why would they use a low emissions bottom end with the xe compression ratio as u said? they cant produce any xe engines now because of euro 2006 emissions
