my mate has got a renault clio p reg, 1.2. when shes driving down the road, the car just conks for no reason at all! we have to start it up and rev the engine like fcuk to keep it going! also on the dashboard there r they pointers, 1 is for engine temprature, the other is petrol, and theres this other pointer that doesnt have a picture, so we dont know what it does! and that pointer is always on zero, could that have something to do with it? any help is appreciated. Thanks

Possibly. Could be the alternator too, not charging up the battery properly. Run the engine, and connect a multimeter to the terminals of the alternator - see if theres a current flowing.
