i may have a problem with oil consumption -
in 2000 miles i've used 2 litres, is this normal - it doesn't smoke at all, had me bro drive it hard and watched.
i might have a leak, but theres no evidence on my drive or garage.
not quite sure where i could be going? i though i'd be puffing out blue smoke if i was burning.
the cars a t reg 1.6 16v with 42K on it

Sounds very odd mate, surely if you haven't got a leak it must be burning oil.

M4tt sounds weird but check your oil filter, lady who owned my car b4 me "one carefull lady owner " She had a shitty oil filter fitted to my car for some reason allthough car had only done 12k when i brought it
Basically it came loose and dripped oil over a long period of time untill my tappets started going
When i got it checked out they showed me filter, it looks like a tin of canned food and basically it was in 2 peices just hanging on.
Check that
A long shot tho cos guy at garage was like WTF?

i've only had the car sicnce it had 38 on it
im gonna ask cybermonkey if he had n e probs cause it was his car b4 hand
