my speedo does'nt work the car is real slow (no puling power)wondering if any1 had any ideas wot it could be and if i could fix it be4 i take it to garage.

When was it last serviced?? could be plugs or leads?? and speedo is probably just dodgy cable

deano start your motor up and do a rough time of how long the temp gauge goes to 98degrees, and monitor how eratic the temp goes up and down, then post it up

motors been going for 5 mins now, gauge has,nt moved and the zaust is blowing out alot more smoke then normal.

its gone below 1000 revs now and it sounds like its gonna cut out any time?

There is white gunk in mine. 1.2 8v. And mines is sluggish.

8v's do get gunk, so dont assume its ythye head gasket (sp)

penfold, your problem is you are not driving your car on long enough distances. Condensation builds up over winter in the sump especially, and this mixes with the oil and creates the white sludge. You may need to give it a flush and oil change. Go and drive up the motorway for an hour or so, get the engine real hot so it canwarm up properly. Too many short trips is the problem.
