basically the guy that did all my bodywork back the end of last year has quoted me to do my bumpers and arches. i have a pre97 sport and so have the black arches and half colour coded bumpers

heres what work is involved:
fill and smooth 2 dings on front bumper
fibreglass together the slats in front lower bumper as they have started to crack
fill and smooth 2 dings on rear bumper
smooth the texture out of the black parts of the front and rear bumpers. smooth the existing lip inbetween the black and coloured sections on front and rear bumpers
smooth texture out of all 4 arches
and finally spray and laquer the lot and bake them on

all in he wants £220 to do it which i think is pretty reasonable since everywhere else wants roughly £150 for each bumper and thats without the arches being done too. i know his work is shit hot so i would have no worries about spending slightly more than with someone else whos work may be of a lesser quality

anyway, what do you lot think? is this a good price?

im off down to see him this morning to see exactly what work he has on at the moment and to see if i can haggle the price down anymore cos i am a tight arse

yeah 220 is a pretty good price....loose the OPC badges, as if its OPC tuned but otherwise nice motor, not a fan o the twin headlights, you could always get hold of some post 97 bumpers and get after market grill, and get the whole bumpers sprayed.

I wouldnt get it colour coded....i dont think it would look that nice

I reckon keep it broken up with the black...and maybe get those areas sprayed up in a Graphite/anthracit, then get the windows tinted

Oh, and get the rims done in anthacite, smoked rear clusters and lose the side strips! sorry i'm jsut gettin carried away here
