Right, currently i have a JL 12 W3V2 sub in a sealed box.
From the JL website it says:
Sealed Enclosure Range: 1.00-1.50 cu.ft. (28.3-42.0 liters)
Ported Enclosure Range: 2.00-3.00 cu.ft. (57.0-85.0 liters)
My current box is 1.5 cu.ft i have been told.
What differece will it make to the sound gopiong down to 1 cu ft and what difference does wadding make to the sound??
HELP!!

check the other thread, i've just added what the difference in sizes of sealed enclosures will make
its hard to describe the effect of wadding, personally its sounds much more pleasent.
if you want to reduce the size of the enclosure without building a new box and you have not braced your box, that might be worth a shot.
Bracing will make the sound sharper because it will stop the walls of the box flexing

Just work out the internal surface areas of your box, and add it together. You should put some wadding on all surfaces (internally of course ) of your box.
Another little thing that might help is varnishing the inside walls of the box too (if they aren't already).
Make sure it is braced tho mate, this is what will really make the improvements. If the sides flex just a little bit, you are losing output power and clarity
Do them three things and you'll notice a vast improvement

not sure, i haven't seen it
You might beable to prise a panel off, but you might end up ruining the box doing that.
You might be as well buying a sheet of MDF and have a play around in the garage for a bit.
Then if it doesn't sound good, just use your original box
MDF isn't expensive plus it will be rewarding making your own box

go for around 1.3 because the bracing and wadding will displace quite a bit of volume
