Is the fan working? Wire it directly to the battery and if it works then could be thermostat problem?

So how does the thermostat work if it worked propperly would it not go over 90 like normal and if it did the fan would kick in mate ? I am just thinking where the best place to go would be to get it fitted would vaux be a good idea or not

well thermostat expands when it gets warmer, lettin more coolant flow hence cooling stuff down more... agree with upsideout on this, thermostat... not a clue where to find it tho

its a simple case of find thermostat, undo bolts pull out, chuck new one in then bolt back together... or u could boil it to see if it reacts to heat

i thought the thermostat has wax in it which melts at a certain temp and lets the water through

right the radiator top hose on the left the thermostat is wht the hose conectts to
so you drain the cooling system, by taking off the passenger side hose from the radiator
then take off the drivers side hose.
undo the bolts theres 3 or maybee 4 of them on the housing. remove the cover
there is now a disk like thing inside
pull it out
clean the surfaces and fit new thermostat the way the old one came out.
renew the seal amd refit the cover
connect the hoses back up and refill the coolent system.
