Hi Guys,
I just thought that I should post up here about a sound off that we're running at PV '04. We ran one last year and was really enjoyable.
This year unfortunately there is no sound quality (SQ) section just the sound pressure level (SPL) where we are measuring how loud you can get it - BASS !
We basically stick a little sensore on the passenger side of your windscreen, you get 30 seconds to play and we see how loud you can get it, all monitered on a computer.
It then works as a head to head knockout system. i.e. a ladder, where you have quaterfinals, semifinals and finals (if there are enough entries).
There are 4 main ways to sepearate classes -
Street - basically everything in the boot, limited amps and batteries.
Street max - a wall is permitted, but there are still limited amps and batteries.
Super street - do what you want behind the door pillar ! As many bats and amps as you want !
Extreme - pretty much do what you want! concrete floors etc etc....
After this, they are then split up into the number of subs in each class. e.g. Superstreet 3 - 4, contains 3 or 4 subs.
Anybody wishing to compete in dB drag at this event, please drop me a PM with an e-mail address or send me an e-mail at dbdrag@zimsoundz.co.uk
Entry is £30 for driver and vehicle and this includes entry into the dB Drag competition. This includes entry into the show as well.
If you would like addtional discounted tickets they are £7 each.
If anymore info is needed please don't hesitate to contact me. There are going to be a wide range of cars there, from single 12" subs to ones with multiple big subs doing stupiddly high scores !
Many thanks
Gordon Conway

If i got my install done in time, and it has been run in, then i would be interested. I have already paid for my show ticket though, can you enter the comp seperately? I will be running 2 x 1000w RMS 12" subs powered by a 2400w RMS audiobahn amp.
