I know what/where the sensor is, but what would happen if it was faulty? My engine's a C12NZ, and it seems very hesistant, like its able to go some more but can't. Has had new gaskets all round, but still havin this problem.
I realise that these arent powerful engines anyway, but it has definitely been quicker/more responsive in the past, and I can't think of anything else but that sensor.
Any ideas?

Engine management light isn't coming on at all, no problems there...
I've got a spare manifold with one on, guess I could try that. I know for a fact I'm overfuelling, getting lots of popping/occasional backfire... According to the haynes manual, you need a special kind of grease to put around the sensor (has glass crystals in to form seal or something), is it really necessary?

I figured it'd be the typical haynes "you must replace everything or your engine will blow up" crap.
So you guys do reckon it could be that makin me lose power then?

Have just been out in the car, disconnected LS and its running the same, if not better now. No engine management light, even with it disconnected, so I'm guessing the sensor's knackered.
My spare LS is actually broken I think, so will have to get a new one... Anyone know where I can get one cheap?

Have you tried the plugs, as that can cause the pop's etc...
