-35mm on 17's shouldnt be low, ive got a full kit with 17's lowered 40mm and i can drive straight over speed bumps without catching them, im gonna lower mine 60mm instead because its too high for my liking

If you want to raise your suspension you can get rubber inserts (cant remember the propper name for them) you lift the car and place them between the coils and tie rap in place, then when you lower it the rubber stops the springs compressing all the way (obviously) this also stiffens the suspension a little bit i think aswell.

When I put my GSi springs it was higher, but after a few weeks they have settled to lower than before. The engine is only about 30-40kg heavier than the smaller units anyway.

if its a combat 2 kit, then i understand where the guy is coming from, the front bumper is realllly low. I was -60mm when i first had it, but it scraped on bumps in the road, let alone speed bumps. Went to 35mm springs, which was a lot better, but still couldnt get over some speed bumps. I now got coilovers, but have left it about the height it was with 35 mm springs. If you do want properly height adjustable suspension, coilovers will be the best bet. I got a couple of piz in my garage which show how high they can go, and how low i drive with it now if thats any help.
