rite my car started yesterday got to the end of my road and just cut out tried to stat it and just turns over i have cleaned all the connection points for the dis cap and i have also checked for a spark from the coil pack but there is no spark apart from it might be the coil pack or the HT lead from the coil pack to the dis cap any 1 got any idea wot else it may be

my b/f brothers car did that the other day and it was the battery - he had to get a new one
try that

i have taken the battery off and charged it but it still not going

also a m8 thinks it may be the imobliser i have a clifford concept 600 alarm

Take off the alarm and imobliser and then try. Could be the imobliser.
Might even be the starter motor.

when u checked for a spark, did u hold the spark plug agaist the block, or a good earth? if u did and its still not working, put a test light accross ur ignition coil, see if thats gettin power. thats the only things i can really sugest with out seeing the car.

i put the spark plug onto a bolt head which i cleaned up for a good earth aslo did this to the coil HT lead and still nothing i hope its just the coil pack

yah fuel is getting through as u can smell it but it just not fireing

if there is no spark
then check the leads if there is no power in them chek the coil dixx cap rotor arm if these are fine check coil if there is no power getting to the coil could be a immob fault

theres def no spark from the coil a m8 has asked a guy at vaux he says it might be the crank case sensor
