I bought a BFO cone a couple of weeks back, and all seemed to be well
Removed the old filter box, and attached the cone to the pipe, with a few spare bracket type parts that came with the cone, that I couldn't figure out what to do with em
Anyway, yesterday I was pulling away, all of a sudden the car drops revs, and stops accelerating, the little engine light came on, and seemed to be ok
Got the AA out, and they said that the Air Mass Sensor is buggered
Is there any reason why the BFO cone would bugger this up, or did I do something wrong when I installed it?

I've heard about the oil in induction kits making the AFM's dirty...
they're basically a wire that heats up - and as the air goes past it cools the wire down and thus senses the air flow from that...
Get some carb cleaner and give it a clean...

I'm guessing the sensor is where I attached the BFO cone?
Where's the easiest place to get carb cleaner from?
Also, will I need to leave the battery off again for the ECU?
