not sure if it does as that wot iv been told it may be y my car not starting but a guy onmig says that engine dont have 1

not sure but if you do they cost just over £100 + VAT, coz i justrang up vaux - only need the bracket but its all part of the sensor

yes, but if it broke it would not stop your car running, i say the problem lies either in the dizzy or with the ignition coil

the crank sensor if its not running will not start, i had similar prob 2 u speed6 and just cleaned all conections with electrical spray and was ok last time i tried the car before it went 2 glasgow

i have no power going to the coil and my m8 with the same engine swaped over my coil and modual with his and mine work on his car

one engine does one doesnt i rang vaux cos i could not find it but mine didnt. think x12 doesnt c12 does.

if it has a dizzy it doesnt have one
if its dizzyless - coil pack then itll have one

i have a coil pack but no power to it i have just done the paper clip test and it gave me code 12 which on the topbuzz site say N/A

in the haynes manual it says that its the crankshaft speed/ position sensor is this the 1 u on about Adam-D
