i stuck a bid on sumin on ebay, higher than the current bid but its still said the reserve hasn't been reached.
but when i look in my ebay, my summary it says im outbid on the item i bidded on.
what does that mean - my bid offer has been out bidded by some one else?
cause i stuck in 2500, when the current bid was on 900 or sumin, and it raised the bid to sumin like 920 ( can't rem exactly), so is it gonna just bid up or what?

it will keep proxy bidding you every time someone else bids until it gets to your top amount..

what about the bit in my summary saying i've been out bidded on that item, does it mean someone has but in a higher maximun price?

i've jsut seen another bit - in the bit where i place a bid, it says i am currently the highest bidder, but in the summary it says i'm out bidded on that item :buggle:
If im the highest bidder, then why doesn't it just show up my 2500 that i bidded? instead of the 920 it shows up with?

Is there a red cross in the 'My eBay' section?
If so, then its probably because the reserve hasn't been met.

yeah theres a red cross, so it jsut means im not at the reserve then, no ones bidding higher than me

Yep, although I don't know how proxy bidding will get you to the reserve. Post a link and we can have a look.

If the current price was £100, the reserve was set at £200 and you bid £300, the bid would go straight to the reserve price and not bother with any bids below the reserve. If someone bids £201, £202 etc your maximum bid will continue to work for you until someone bids £301 then your screwed.
