how do i hook them up so when the door opens the neons switchs on?

I'd run them off the wire that goes to the courtesy light on the ceiling. I was just passing and don;t know much about it. I guess a proper ICE person should give a hand here

You could piggy off the door pin ground........ or you could take the live from the interior light as said, buttttttt i hope they are low current neons....
