nah I reckon in his attempts to make it 'fast' he raised the boost a bit too high, either cracked another manifold or blew a gasket or ring

either that or he didnt take into account the extra fuel consumption of the new engine & is infact stranded in the middle of nowhere, out of signal range for his mobile phone & no way of getting back...

that may end up being his excuse for not attending the race with tim

he cant turn the boost past 1 bar at the mo cos there is a restrictor on it, although i have a solution too this!!!

140 bhp diesel with shit loads of torque, against a 155 bhp 2l.

Had a few problems, first one of the IC hoses was rubbing on the alternator and it's cut a hole through, this is now fixed/bodged till i can get a new pipe

Then i managed to break one of the cores of the rad so been out looking at that.

Reckon Radweld will fix it but also taking about 6 litres of water with me so should be ok

now itd be a good idea to race tim round a track while your car is held together with bits and bobs

To be honest, I think your all being a bit unfair. Adams building something totally different, so is always going to have teething problems to start with. (Dont hear people sniggering when Beardy has a few problems)

I hope he proves all the doubting tomas's wrong - and even if he doesnt, at least hes got the balls to give it a go.
