How much memory have you got in your system
My manual says i can put PC3200 DDR with a voltage of 2.4 in but it has gotta be unbuffered.
I'm not sure if i should go for a goo make -- i.e. Kingsmax or go for something a bit dodgy. Basically it means i can get 512 or 1024 for the same price.
I'm not sure what make i have in at the mo but it's only 266 and the board does 400.

I have 512 on this laptop, and I think 1024 on my home system.
No idea which make/brand tho.

wel look at it this way, unbrabded or not so wel know ram is more likely to work in ya pc cos its made to work wit a range of boards, but branded stuff is usually set to work with only a few types of boards. stay away from kingston for now ive had nothing but trouble with compatibility, i run a computer shop as work so this is just outta experience mate

Well you don't have 266Mb of anythin for a start. Its running at 266MHz as opposed to 400MHz.
