If i was to get an MOT 2 weeks before i need one, does the 12 months get added to the 2 weeks

You're MOT is valid for 12 months, so 12months after it passes

incorrect

if for example IF i took my car for mot today - but my mot dont run out till the 24th of this month, as long as i take my existing MOT they will date the new one from 24th/04 - expire 24th/05

yep drew is right you can take it 1 month before it runs out and they will give you 13 months mot

they will fail you for bearings on the way out...Mine failed on rear bearings (corsa)

u can have the MOT done say a 1 week before its due and they will date it for when it originally runs out... thats wat my local MOT garage did

Just hoping the spare on the limit marks is OK because i'm getting a new set of tyres of a mate cause he putting 1.6 GTi Wheels on his 205 so i don't wanna have to pay for a new tyre. Don't know anyon with 13" wheels so i can lend one before 9 in the morning. My mate doesn't have a spare
