im on aol 1mb 
I dont use there software to dial up tho, gettin around 122k/s downlaods... Also leave it connected 24/7 & its usually only once a week I get booted so have to reconnect

This is the same with my ntl boradband.
half the time sites just keep cumming up "page cannot be displayed " errors...
pisses me off bigstyle

What do you use to dial up then? I usually connect using AOL, then open IE and use that. Is it worth getting the 1mb connection? I cant change me ISP as my mum & dad use their email accounts that you get with it. Any ideas that would help me with AOL would be v.appreciated.

under windows your pretty much sodded (google for hacks though, im sure theres stuff out there etc). Although, if you have aol cable (uses ntl network) then you can get around it piss easy, because it doesnt have dial anything etc etc
edit: im on NTL and its fairly ok To others on NTL and having problems, go over to www.nthellworld.co.uk and have a browse around the forums, chance is its your proxy servers that are feck (luton ones are screwed to bits) so its a change of the proxy server in your browser settings, and you will be up and running again Otherwise you could have a problem with the ubr's being over-subscribed, so a complaint to NTL is needed to get their arses to re-seg them

Im taking that this post was for me and not the poster of the link? I'm on AOL bradband using ADSL with Win XP. I don't get whut ya mean with the NTL thingy lol. If you cant be arsed replyin' then fair play to ya

NTL bit was addressed to ntl users (hence the "to others on ntl"  ). But yes the program paul gave only works on linux (unless there is a version for windows...which is very unlikey). But the bit about NTL and AOL, well with AOL you can get broadband two ways - 1st being ADSL (uses BT tel lines etc) and the other is via the NTL cable network (use must be in a NTL area)....and if you get AOL using a cable modem, then it piss easy to bypass the software they supply you (if you can get hold of settings etc). But with ADSL, you have to dialup every time you want to use the net, and im guessing you have AOL ADSL.
Eitherway, i had a quick search around for a dialer for the AOL ADSL broadband, i couldnt find nout, so you will have to do with your method of connecting

Zen Internet 1Mbps, my last connection was online for a few weeks, only went down because I had to reboot the router to make some config-changes...
