Going to look at a 99 T plate 1.6 LX in a bit. It's only done 25k miles and up for £3999 - what/if there are common faults what should I look for? and how much would YOU pay for it? It's burgendy etc, what sort of the specs are they and is it the 1.6 16v and not an 8v?

I'm pretty sure the engine will be the X16XE as found in later 1.6 Corsa Bs - so all the usual faults (sticky EGR valves, weak cam belt tensioners etc.)

Almost certain it was same output as Corsa - 106bhp. Not aware there was a lower power version of X16XE

i thought the LS's were 8v? mine was on a 99 T plate? maybe there were different engine options?

wat about a 1.6 or 1.8 16v sport, they are still cheap on insurance, i was looking at them on autotrader and there was plenty t reg ones under 4k.
