What's the widest tyres I can put on an unmodified corsa-B with 15" wheels?
I can't put any bodykit on to widen wheel arches. Want the best grip and
traction possible.

OK thanks what's the cheapest way to do it given that I don't care what it looks like so I'm not bothered about fancy alloys can I use steel wheels or cheaper alloys?
Can anyone recommend reasonably good quality wheels and tyres that will give me the grip but won't but the bank? Severe wonga shortage since I spashed out on a new eibach suspension recently ;-)

I have got vauxhall tigra alloys (they were free). Got 195/50/15 avon zv3's on mine. Handles really well. The car feels so much safer compared to the standard steels. Shop about you will be able to find some alloys, or look on ebay.

nice idea, did the tigra wheels go on easy or did you have any trouble fitting them? I might be able to get some cheap from the scrappy so I might give that a go

i havw 15"x205 alloys, with 195/45/15 tires, on an ET35 offset, lowered -60mm on bilsteins, but i have 4 degrees of camber on the rear, so the wheels fit underneith. handles very very well
