right guys, i want to tint the rear reflectors in my pre-facelift Corsa C, can you buy black one or do you have to just tint them yourslf. If this is the case, do you need to take the whole rear bumper off, how is this done, its not 100% legal (i dont think) but until MOT time it wont really matter. Any one whose done this help me out?

Cheers

Mike

The reason its illeegal is because the reflectors inside don't work.

You do have to take your bumper off, but thats a very simple thing to do.

Heres some pics of a facelift one that i tinted

As i am a sprayed, and use a compressor i mix black basecoat with lacquer, that keeps it shiny and lets the light through, you can buy tint spray in cans but i've heard it leaves them dull

Yeah tint spray in cans gives a kinda matt finish. What about just dustinm them over with regular gloss black, like people do when colour coding corsa b tail lights?
Was just wondering as they look kinda out of place with the black SXi rear lenses on.

I wouldn't just put normal black paint on, i'd of thought it'll be a bit dark.

You could always buy some new ones and send them to me to do, or use tint spray and then lacquer over that, but i don't know if you'll get any reactions with the lacquer and tint spray
