Shove the removal tools into the holes where the alan screws were, give them a good shove. This releases the latches. Then pull hard on the unit itself.

You take the alan key screw things out, then you stick the removal tools into the holes the screws came out of, and push hard. Then pull the unit itself (not the tools), and it comes out.

how can you pull the unit? There's nothing to grab onto apart from the volume knob. And that thing aint gonna hold.

I always thought if you pushed the removal keys in far enough they click into place, then you just tug on them.

Sometimes, sometimes they just come out. You can use the tape hole, that's what I used to pull my Pioneer unit out when I need it out.

ive done it now!! i used th removal tools i got from motorworld, just sone splx pushy in things, the metal prongs. then i took out the centre cosole which allows you to push the head unit from behind if you shove your hand up behind the unit. but that didnt work so i attackd the sides with a small screwdriver while the prongs were in and when i was pushing out from the back all at once n it worked

This is a 10 second job. I work for halfords and all you do is put the keys in, wait till they click into place, push out towards doors and pull the whole thing out. Simple!!
