Cos I sent a fax to a company sales rep there he has 1 of those phone/fax combined things and he picked up the phone and started saying hello...hello...heeellllllloooooo So I shouted its a fax you silly cunt! And then heard him say.....oooops sorry-click. then the fax went through.

they must have picked the fone up rather than click the fax button

its a diferent ring for fax and phone, or a diferent light flashes or sumthing

Yes they can, when someone trys to fax here and dial a wrong digit I get the call and shout FAXXX and they hang up.

Our fax machine just accepts faxes regardless. Doesnt involve anything, plus it doesnt ring, it beeps No need for anyone to answer it.
