Hi, im looking at buyig some DVD RW Media, but dont understand what to get.
How come there are 2 types of DVD Media
"DVD+RW" & "DVD-RW" Disks ("+ & -" part i dont understand)
Which ones are used for what? and which disks would you recommend?

at a guess i would say DVD+RW are the ones you can use again and the DVD-RW you only use once.but that's only a guess

RW means you can keep writing to the disc.
I'm not to sure about the + and - tho BUT i buy the - stuff and works fine.

Because DVD Rewriters are relatively new technology, there's multiple formats.
DVD-RW and DVD+RW are both rewritable, but which one you need depends on which one your DVD burner burns to. Most nowadays burn to both. It's the same with DVD-R and DVD+R.

the + format belongs to philips and sony and the - format belongs to panasonic and pioneer . two different standards, like james said almost every writer writes to both now.
to make it more confusing the new " dual layer disks " have been launched
