just changed my cdr 2005...got a silver one instead of black as I changed to silver heater panels etc....and ive put the cd player in and its doing nothing but beeping all the time when I switch it on saying "SAFE"
The instructions seem to be as helpful as a chocolate fireguard, and I have the code etc to put in.
Any ideas?

turn the ignition on and hold down the on button, safe wil flash and then ask for the code, use the numbers on the cd player to put the code in

Its not asking for the code.  Just every 3 seconds beeping and saying "SAFE".
Baffled.
Any ideas?

easy this one mate turn the stereo on,turn ignition off hold the as button and turn the ignition back on while still holding down the as button it should beep and ask for the code enter code hold as again.beeps again job done

Hold down 'AS' as you turn it on, then enter the code using numbered buttons. Don't know if its identical for the double din units but on the old style if the code was 5432 you press 1 five times, 2 four times, 3 three times and 4 twice. Then hold AS again.

Turned the ignition on whilst I held AS and it came up asking for the code.
Thats me sorted. (For the minute anyway)
