i am wanting to flush my tailgate but how would i open the boot then?

leave the trim off the boot panel lean over and push the push rod, annoying.
OR, get a MK3 fiesta boot popper from the scrappy and wire it in on a switch

thats what ya would nick from the scrappys a MK3 fiesta boot solenoid, ya can get specific kits for this brand new for about £25 with everything ya need

or if u have central lockin use or existing soleniod thats what i done and ran it off the back wiper switch

can u use any solonoid for this, i have one that i used to use on the central locking on my old nova, could i use this?

yeah as long as u can wire it up mate! u gona run it off the window wiper switch??
