Had my car for nearly a year. under my mums insurance with 1 years NCD. best quote ive got for a 1.2 8v corsa is £916.55 with non standard bodykit, and non standard alloys. Is this a good quote? That with elephant.co.uk, that elephant.co.uk.

Seeing as budget (original insurer) wanted £1150 with no mods!

Erm if youve been under your mums insurance how do you have 1 yrs NCB? and those quotes are good compared to what i have been quoted for my 99 sxi at 17, i.e. none under £2000

ONLY?

you gotta be joking! so after 2 years, you've paid more then what your cars worth?
jesus lads, has no1 heard of pass plus? if your looking at driving big fast cars then it aint for your, but if your drving small engine cars it knocks hundreds off.

Im with Churchill, who dont insure anyone who are below 21... unless you have a pass plus certificate, and then they'll give you a years no claims for having that certificate.
When i was 18, i had a 1.2 corsa, with alloys and window tints, cost me £500 a year, then it was stolen, i made a claim, lost my NCB and bought a 1.4 sri, kitted right up, alloys, tints the lot and it cost me £1000 a year.
No ive got a 1.8 Vectra:

which is costing me £700 a year.
im actually selling it ( http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=162226 ) and now looking at a vectra GSI.

£1700 for a 1.4 is not good mate

You 2 are mad to pay that for insurance

I would never pay that sort of money for insurance, you can always find a cheaper company just shop around may take a while but you will find much cheaper than £1760

Try HIC they are cheap
