was the C20LET used in all turbo'ed calibra's or did they use an ecotec version in the later ones?

LAter versions had a black spark plug cover as opposed to red. I think they may have been "called" ecotec but they were just the same engine IIRC

My mate has the C20LET with a black cover on it, has Vauxhall written across it but that does not mean its not a C20LET.

well C20LET or not as long as they have the 204BHP i'm happy

204bhp, and with a re-map you are looking at 250bhp and 275 lb/ft of torque.

its the same with the xe's as well isnt it? they had black plug covers saying ecotec?

ALL turbo engines up to R reg (calibra) and M reg (Cav turbo's) were NON ECOTEC
even if they say they are

well the plan is to get rid on the corsa 1.2 8v pile of poo in the next 2 months and get myself a cally...... then send it off to v-tuning for a full rebuild of the engine cos god knows what stick it would have got during its 10years or so life.

there some very cheap ones around.. i'll have to have a chat with my bank manager in the near future

never really looked into them..... i always wanted a cally since they came out deffo the first 6 speed car i ever seen although there could of been other that i didnt notice. havin said that my mind could be changed if the right cav came my way.

gonna take a trip over to the uk in the next few months and see whats around cos theres only shite over here.
