Guys & Gals,
I'm interested in getting the car as above and was wondering what the top speed is? I know Vaux say 126mph, but was wondering if the car can top this (as is usually the case).
Has anyone that has one pushed it all the way? Any pics would be a bonus!
Cheers

had my 1.4 reading 120 speedo so would think they 1.8 would go to 130 on the speedo easy enough as i still had a bit to go but had to slow down

Depends on if he wants a new car or not....not many sub £12,000 cars offer the same performance.

That's all very well but not everyone has over £12,000. Where do you stop with that? If I had £15,000 to spend someone would say why not spend an extra 3k and get something better. You can't win. But if £12,000 is all he has and he wants new then there is limited performance choice.

Cheers for the replies fellas!
I really fancy an SRi for loads of reasons but as for the performance - i know it's not a world-beater but it's not a slouch and certainly a lot better than my 1.2 SXi innit?
I was tempted by the Exclusiv (skirts and front bumper, leather interior etc)but want an 1.8 SRi with leather too!
Thanks again!

My mate recently bought the 1.8 SRI model. With 3 of us in the car, he had it upto 120, Speedo was still moving but he had to slow down for traffic. He said he had it almost upto 130 a few days ago when he was on his own.

Don't think it is coming out until like Ojc says the Corsa D.
The GSI was originally due out early last year. I was waiting for it until my dealer told me he hadn't heard anything and that's why I ended up with a 1.8 SRi instead.
