Can anyone recommend a high quality 4-channel amplifier? I'm after sound quality rather than out and out volume by the way. Budget up to around £200. Cheers in advance

I'm driving Lanzar speakers rated at 60W RMS, so I reckon about 4 x 60ish would do it

Mate if you want sound quality, why have you bought lanzars? The quality lies mostly in the speakers and signal processor (headunit) more than the amplifier.
Anywhoo....
For what you want, ud need either a Mac Energy 8000

Or a directed audio extreme 4600X

Or a Mac Audio Spider 6800

Hope this helps

Cheers Richie - I haven't bought speakers yet, but I want to fit speakers that will just drop in without mods, as I need to leave the car as standard as poss. It's a Mazda 323 Fastback BTW, with a speaker in each door. Currently using an Alpine head unit (top spec about 2 years ago) coupled with cheapie 30wpc 2-channel Kenwood amp. I've heard that infinity and boston do speakers that might fit (5.25" and 7x5") but was recommended the Lanzars because of their shallow depth. However, will rethink this option if they're as crap as you say! Any experience with Boston/Infinity?

hunt out details for the mounting depth of the doors, or strip the doors and work it out yourself And yes i would go with another make, either infinity or alpine if your on the cheap, or focals/bostons etc if you have the cash to burn

if you want decent slim speakers get focal polyglass slims, they fit straight in a corsa door and are SQ speakers.
