Nearly everyone i know with a bfriend/grfriend at the moment have been going out for a relatively short period of time, and they all love each other? 
One of my friends has been seeing her fella for 2 weeks and reckons that hes madly in love and hes the one blah blah blah. Another girl i know seems to change bfriend every few months and each time shes like, i love him hes the one blah blah blah and i bet when the next one comes along she`ll say the same thing
People seem to throw the love word around too liberally? Do people actually know what love is, i reckon everyone just gets high of the new exciting syndrome you get when you first start going out with someone.

also why do people get engaged after only afew months now???? even when the dont plan to marry. i thought you were engaged if you had asked him/her to marry you & they agreed

Yes planned engagements are silly, The "weve decided to get engaged, so were off out to buy a ring together" fcuking makes me p1ss myself
When you get engaged, you should suprise the other person and propose to them, thats what its all about.

yes this is true, and has relevence to the first few months are exciting and perfect syndrome.
If i started seeing someone and they went away for 2 weeks, when they came back id be excited and happy to see them. but not the feeling in the bottom of your stomach, that sh1t only really happens when you are proper in love.

Agreed SetH  I've only been in love once, I thought I was loads of times when I was a kid, but I reckon love is when you both have a real connection where you know what the deal is all the time (whether you're arguing or just cuddling up), I think as you mentioned ppl get caught up in the 'honeymoon period' and most of the time they are just really enjoying the first good times.

i have been in love once. was with a girl for two years. we knew what each other wanted or was thinking, when you can show each other affection, have butter flys in your stomach when ever you have been paprt. etc. love is hard to describe.
I think im in love with some one else now tho . . .

I agree with nearly all of the above.
Love is when all you think about is your partner and then you get a funny feleing in your stomach and you can't wait to c them all of the time. Like what i am feeling at the mo. Being with my gf for 6 months n love her to pieces. So yes, Shell it just pops up whenever, no control over it.
