im in the process of polishing my wheels to give them a euro polished rim effect

its bloody hard work but heres afew pics. you can see which areas have been polished & whch havent. going to be spraying the spokes a dark grey colour & leaving the rim polished once there all done

















anyone else tried doing this yet? did you come across any problems??

PMSL for taking on the job of polishing it yourself. i gave it a go but got bored, arm started to ache.

fair play to u for getting stuck in, ont look much fun to me but it will look class when its done, u gotta keep them real clean after u have done them tho like cleaning every few days, i had some polished wheels on my mini and did not realise this untill it was to late and brake dust had started to get into the finish:-( gutted, looked amazing tho!

keep up the good work it will be worth it in the end, iaz

depends what your alloys are made of, but it looks to me like he has used fine sandpaper. 1200 grit

400, 800 & then 1200 grade sandpaper followed by peek metal polish
