at work today (i'm a mechanic)... had a ford focus in.
and it had a really cool.......feature to it.....and i'm wondering if you wud be able to put it on a corsa.....and how much wud a bodyshop charge to do it?
rite the feature is:
to open the bonnet you turn the ford badge so rather than reading left to right....it reads bottom to top
thn it has a little key hole.
u put your key in it.......and turn....and it pops the bonnet
i thought it was pretty cool (first time i worked on a focus today)
so is it possible?....and how much wud it cost to fit the mechanism, lock, catches etc to a corsa?

fooking chavs get everywhere
back to topic, best bet would be to have the logo on the grill to rotate to reveal a key hole to open the bonnet It would be possible, but like others say its abit of a pain in the butt. And if i was going to that effort, i would rather have lifters to automatically open the bonet, and if it was connected to the handbrake cable, then unless ya put your handbrake on it would be impossible for it to open Would look better too

Pulling the bonnet catch requires quite a lot of force, I'm not sure how you'd get that using a key mechanism. I don't know how the focus one works but using Corsa parts you'd have a very stiff key to pull the Corsa catch. Anything softer would be a complete re-work of all the leverage in there.

I thought it was cool to have De-Locked cars, not adding more . Ford just use that method because its cheeper and easier than running a cable through the car and then having a handle somewhere.
