Ive had my boot smoothed, but the spunkin thing keeps cracking!! i've had it re-done twice at the garage which did it for me at a very resonable price. (Yes i know, you get what you pay for

)

Anyway, i have given up on it any am having it totally re-done at a 'good' garage. The guy will not re-do some one eles's work as he says the weld is probably sh!t & so on (fair enough). Anyone know roughly how much a tailgate would be at a scrapyard??

Also, i have heard stuff about platic replacement tailgates (smooth) anyone know if this is true or where i could purchase one on-line if they are any good???

ye can get a smooth cover jus need to smooth in 2 bits each side of the window a think but am no sure if it sticks out or no i have never seen one in real life they must be about 50 60 quid

I know SG Bodyworks in Glasgow sells smooth boot panels for aroung the £80 mark, maybe give them a shot, heres the link:

the fiberglass bot panels sink so beware, sounds like your body shop might have just filled the reccess with filler and not welded it at all.

ive got a smooth boot panel for sale if you want it, its fibreglass. you can have it for £60 inc p+p

thanks 4 the offers but think im gonna get a new boot & have it done properly. Seems to be some mixed opinions of plastic panels.
