Your Licence is Eu anyway so you can legally drive anywhere in the EU.
Usually insurance company standard cover should cover you to drive in the EU but double check this - mine is actually written on the back of my insurance certificate.
breakdown cover? Do you have any anyway? If so then phone them up and they should upgrade you to euro cover for minimal cost.
Tax's nope none at all - buit cheaper fuel is nice so brim your tank before you get back in the UK.

You also need other things, well you dont need them, but i think if the police check you you'll get a fine for not having them. Things such as first aid kit, spare bulb kit and warning triangle.
I bought them all before i went from halfords, and then returned them all when i got back, and got my money back

Usually for insurance you will need to inform them and they'll send you a "green card" its a kind of temp euro policy
