hi guys and girls,
Just asking if any1 knows any places where my mate could do sum mods to his 1.0l corsa , hes looking at engine mods and a exhaust to make it sound a little more beef not the tinny sound that all 1.0l have but the range for the 1.0l is very limited and he doesnt want to go for a bigger motor yet because of the insurance
any site or information would be grate

Tell him not to waste his money tuning a 1.0l. Get a exhaust and filter for some noise, but dont bother doing anymore. He should save for a better car when he can afford the insurance.

Too true.....

I met this guy that blown Almost 2k on making his 1.2L up to 140Bhp

Couldn't really seen the point when you can get a good 2.0L along with all the uprated parts, and fitting for about that sort of price

Well then read people's suggestions where we all recommend not to waste time and money on trying to tune a 1.0L but to stick a filter and exhaust on.....even a back box will make it sound louder.

Nothing fancy.

And if your mate is young then even putting filter and exhaust system will bump up the cost of insurance !

You would need more than £2000 to get a 1.2 up to 140bhp, 2k probably wouldnt even get a 1.4 16v to that power.

ffs - the bloke said he cant get a conversion, he has a 1litre, thats IT, he said hes NOT changing it, so y bother goin on?!?!

go 2 powerflow or a custom exhaust place mate, they will make an exhaust for it. dont bother with drilling the airbox, only worth it for performance, which ur not goin for. look in2 seeing if a BFO come will fir the 1litre, if not jus get a pipercross induction kit. no real need 2 tel insurance about that, ifhe crashes, jus put the airbox back on, 5min job

hope i helped

Thats a matter of opinion, I personally think they sound terrible. If the lad can't afford anything quicker, why not wait until he can instead of cheesying up his current car?
