In pieces all over my garage. Anyone wanna give me the following for free:

Exhaust Manifold studding and nuts
Upper and lower gasket sets
Timing belt kit
Clutch release stuff
Piston head bolts
Torque wrench

Probably more stuff too, maybe a new clutch if they aint expensive...

whats a piston head bolt?

can get all that stuff from a local motorfactors, probably half the price of vaux

what's piston head bolts?
thought they were held in by gudgeon pins?

i got a torque wrench from ebay for £14. has done the job great so far.

The bolts that hold the head on, need new ones when you take it off apparently...

cylinder head bolts they would be.
you'd get a funny look in the motor factors asking for piston head bolts.

and yeah they stretch when you fit them, so need replacing each time.

problem i have is will ahve to spend mega £ to fix corsa

so might leave it and then stick a xein there, but first get a startlet

guy i know has just got one of them, about 160bhp and he says its quicker than my corsa. but hes only been in the corsa when it had most of the interior. It was in bolton town center at about 11.30pm in the pissing rain

ah ha.
that bit set is a bit more well stocked than the splined set for a tenner.

you'll probably need a 1/2"-3/8" drive convertor and a 3/8" drive torx socket for the headbolts.
i couldn't find a 1/2" drive socket to fit into the bolt holes.
even with the 3/8 drive one i had to take the cams out for access.
